High On Life!
I am lovin my life. I woke up this morning and it was like BAM! new day, fresh start, & feeling AMAZING! I literally could not stop smiling today, people thought i was on something, but it was just me feeling happy. I went to the city today and did some shopping, walked around the city, drinking my coffee, and just loving my life.
Then I met up with everyone at the Bayanihan Center, folks from xpo, and kappa psi were there too, and together along with some of our manongs and manangs, ate juslyn and ate judith, we walked to city hall & got in line for public comment to talk tothe board of supervisors. It was such an amazing feeling to be up there, i could feel all the adrenaline rushing. it was a great feeling to go up there and be like
“our city is all about serving the masses, serving the people to allow those without a voice or have handicaps to be heard. The VEC’s purpose is to provide whatever support, help or resources our elders & the rest of the community need to make do with the little they have, living off the very bare minimum. Though we persevere & make do witht he difficulties thrown at us during these difficult economic times. Many are dependent on the help we can proveide them & with the cuts being made from our organization it weakens & lessens our capabilities to provide these services tothe people.”

There was about 15-20 of us that spoke and seeing the board’s heads nod should mean we got to them somehow right? so im feeling pretty accomplished, and feeling like we came out of there strong. Today was such a great day! Ahh idk its like i woke up feeling NEW ahaha….does that make any sense!?
